Jaxon's Story

Jaxon Robert Hunter was born on April 6, 2018.
On October 30, 2018, he was sleeping at his daycare while the other children were outside. A 10 year old girl picked him up, dropped him, then proceeded to step on his head at least 7 times. After the attack, she went outside and continued playing with the other children. When the daycare provider found Jaxon, she immediately called 911.  Jaxon was transported to the hospital, then airlifted to Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
He remained in the pediatric intensive care unit until the difficult decision was made to remove him from life support. Jaxon passed away in his mother's arms and holding his daddy's hand at 7:58 p.m. on November 1, 2018.

The Origin of #Win4Jax

A Sunday tradition had begun with Jaxon and his daddy to watch the Minnesota Vikings games.  The first Sunday following Jaxon's death, a friend had posted on Facebook that the Vikings should "#Win4Jax" and the slogan stuck.

As time went on, the phrase became more generalized and was used (in addition to #Justice4Jax) to represent getting a satisfactory outcome in the criminal case to follow.

Now the phrase can take on new meaning.  It will be a "win" to the child victims of violent crimes by juveniles as well as a "win" to honor Jaxon's memory in a way that benefits others.
